The Magical Mirror
Arto was a
cute teddy bear who lived together with his mother in a beautiful forest.
Mother bear loved very much her son and she wished all the best for him. She
used to give Arto healthy food: fish, mushrooms, strawberries and many others
of this kind. But, sadly, the little bear used to refuse all these dishes every
time. Mother bear was very worried. Arto loved honey. All day long he used to
eat a lot of honey. His mother tried to convince him to eat something else, but
her efforts were in vain - he preferred to eat only honey.
Arto used to walk alone
through the woods. One day, while walking along, Arto found an interesting
mirror. Being very curious, he came to observe it better. Arto took the mirror
in his hand and reflected his face into it. In that moment he couldn’t believe
his eyes – his face was extremely thin.
Being very surprised by this thing, he
went home to tell his mother.
"Mom,
look what I found - a mirror," Arto said. “But I don't understand one
thing - when I try to see my face in it, I see myself very thin. Do you know
why?"
Mother bear asked Arto to give her
the mirror to see it better. After a few moments, she told Arto:
"My dear son, this is a magic
mirror that shows you the future. What you see in the mirror is actually you as
you will look over a few years. "
"What? This is how I’ll look in
the future? ", Arto asked. "But why?"
“Don’t you know why? Because you
always refuse the food I give you and you prefer to eat only honey. Honey is
very good but it's not enough for you to develop properly. "
